Kao što se i očekivalo, ovogodišnji The Game Awards je definitivno prošao u znaku Baldur’s Gatea III, koji je na kraju proglašen najboljom igrom 2023. godine.

Sa ukupno osam nominacija, RPG hit Larian Studiosa osvojio je šest nagrada, uključujući i onu najvažniju. Zapažen uspjeh je ostvario i Remedyjev Alan Wake II, koji je sa istim brojem nominacija ugrabio tri prilično značajne nagrade (best game direction, best narative i best art direction), dok su Nintendovi hitovi The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom i Super Mario Bros.
