Velika televizijska mreža CBS odlučila je od ove godine uvesti godišnju dodijelu nagrada za najbolje igre.

Gamer’s Choice Awards, kako glasi puni naziv ovog događaja, zakazan je za 9. prosinca (tri dana nakon svakako najznačajnijeg The Game Awardsa 2018), a stvoren je kako bi odao počast i priznanje igrama, eSports timovima, streamerima i mnogim drugim, pa čak i poznatim celebrityjima koji su gameri.
