Bliži se kraj godine, a s njom i nove nominacije za najbolje igre godine. Svakako nagrada koja se i najviše očekivala jest The Game Awards, a danas su objavljene sve nominacije.

Očekivano, i potpuno zasluženo, u nominacijama prednjače sjajni Final Fantasy VII Rebirth i Astro Bot. Obje igre su dobile po sedam nominacija u ukupno 29 kategorija. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II i Silent Hill 2 su dobili dosta nominacija također (četiri i pet), a iznenađenje koje to više nije, Balatro, skupio je, uz dvije nominaicje u indie kategorijama i onu za igru godine.

Za mnoge je kontroverzno uključenje Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC-a u kategorije koje pripadaju osnovnim verzijama igara, a ne DLC-evima, no tako je ove godine odlučeno. Hoće li se to odraziti na konačne rezultate i u najvažnijoj kategoriji, onoj za igru godine, ostaje da vidimo.
