Danas je u u Londonu održana Golden Joystick Awards ceremonija, koja nam je donijela ovogodišnje dobitnike ove prestižne nagrade, za čiju su većinu kategorija glasali milijuni igrača diljem svijeta.

Nagrada za igru godine pripala je igri Dark Souls III, koja je u kategoriji “igre godine” između ostalog imala oštru konkurenciju u vidu Blizzardovog Overwatcha i Bethesdinog Fallouta, koji su je pratile po broju glasova, a u istoj kategoriji nalazili su se još i hitovi kao što su Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Halo 5: Guardians,Hitman, Inside, No Man’s Sky, Pro Evolution Soccer 2017, Pokémon Go, Rise of the Tomb Raider, The Witness, Total War: Warhammer,
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End i XCOM 2.

Pomalo iznenađujući su rezultati u kategoriji “Best Storytelling”, gdje je The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine ugrabio nagradu ispred igara kao što su Firewatch i Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, kao i u kategoriji “Innovation of the Year” u kojoj je Pokemon GO zasjenio Oculus Rift i HTC Vive.

Titanfall 2 je odnio nagradu Critics’ Choice Awarda, dok je najiščekivanijom igrom proglašena Mass Effect Andromeda, iza koje su se našle igre kao što su The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild i Star Citizen.
