Sinoć su organizatori Independent Games Festivala izdali priopćenje za javnost u kojem su otkrili popis nominacija za ovogodišnju dodjelu nagrada, koja će se u Moscone Convention Centeru u San Franciscu održati 1. ožujka, za vrijeme održavanja Game Developers Conferencea, neposredno prije početka Game Developers Choice Awardsa.

Najviše nominacija na ovogodišnjem IGF-u ima avantura Virginia, a za petama su joj Heart Machineov Hyper Light Drifter, INSIDE i Event[0], koji imaju po tri nominacije. Ove godine osiguran je nagradni fond od $50,000, od kojeg $30,000 ide dobitniku Seumas McNally Grand Prizea, najvećeg priznanja na ovom festivalu. Ovako izgledaju sve nominacije:

Voditeljica ove ceremonije bit će Nina Freeman, dobitnica Nuovo nagrade na prošlogodišnjem festivalu (osvojila je nagradu za svoju igru Cibele), koja trenutno radi na igri Tacoma. Svi zainteresirani moći će Independent Game Festival gledati uživo putem GDC Twitch kanala, a igrači će već krajem siječnja moći dati svoj glasati za Audience Award kategoriju.
