Objavljene su nominacije za ovogodišnji Game Awards event, koji će biti održan 5. prosinca u Las Vegasu. Event će biti održan u AXIS kazalištu u Planet Holywood-u s početkom u 9 pm ET / 6 pm PT / 2 am UK, a prijenos događaja moći će se pratiti na PSN-u, Xbox Liveu, Wii U e- storeu, Steamu, Twitchu, YouTubeu, Kotakuu, IGN-u, Game Spotu, Niconicu i MLG-u.

Većina dobitnika biti će odlučena od strane žirija, koji se sastoji od 28 internacionalnih medijskih profesionalaca za igre, premda tu je i pet kategorija koje su odabrali fanovi.
