MAKUHARI, JAPAN: Models show off Japanese video game giant Nintendo’s new console Gamecube, measuring 150mm x 110mm x 161mm, during a press preview at Makuhari Messe, suburban Tokyo for the Nintendo’s trade show, 24 Aug 2000. The Gamecube console features IBM’s Power PC processor on its MPU and wireless control unit and 80mm in diameter 1.5GB optical disk drive. Nintendo will put it on the domestic market next July and will start to export abroad next October 2001.
